Artwork Statement

"This painting represents the Dreamtime legend of the Evans River. Old Man told the Goanna to protect the little bird from the snake. Goanna chased the snake from Bungawalbyn through Woodburn to Evans Head. This action formed the Evans River. The Goanna is still waiting for the snake to return from the sea, it waits in the form of the Goanna Headland. The blue dots in this painting represent the river." DIGBY MORAN
