Britain’s Heritage was exhibited at the society of Marine Artists, Guildhall in London in 1947. It is understood that Mrs G.W.F. McNaughton purchased the painting at this exhibition for 2000 guineas Sterling. The painting was presented to the City of Lismore by Mrs McNaughton in appreciation of the gallantry of Australian sons in both wars. |
