Artwork Statement

“Our house was born from a recurring dream of a round house in the rainforest. An octagon was more practical so we built a scale model from which construction design details were worked out. Home is where the hearth is, and the central fireplace and chimney are an integral core from which all else radiates. Built with materials from the earth, (mudbrick, stone & timber), harmonising with the Songlines, utilising sacred geometry, and melding with our forest environment were key considerations. Our home was a 10 year manifestation of a vision that came true, and to this day is a beautiful sanctuary in which to live.” Jo and Pete
