Artwork Statement

“The figures represent opposing powerful nation states. They look identical to denote their loss of individuality, their equal power and their shared ideology. The locked hands represent conflict and the lines of fire symbolise the heat that this produces. Heat which further binds them together. The gas masks allude to the ways in which the powerful protect themselves, while leaving the rest of the world vulnerable. The disk with the uranium symbol refers to the all-powerful weaponry resting on a table which is unstable.” Aris Prabawa
