Artwork Statement

'My sculpture at present still resembles totemic form. My art is about experimenting, collecting and assemblage. My work changes however I reflect back upon past sculptures to explore further. I am still using totemic form as a starting point. There are different ways in which to use the formula; using different objects, relating them to each other being it colour, form or shape.

For the last three years I have been working at the Ray Hughes Gallery in Sydney; where I also exhibit as an artist. Working as the gallery assistant exposed me to many varied and different kinds of art. I am influenced by my peers and my contemporaries. Since doing the totem poles in Lismore I can see how I could work again in the same formula however experiment further with the idea of large outdoor pieces'. The artist 1994
