Cassandra RIJS
Born in Australia in 1982, Cassandra Rijs studied the Bachelor of Visual Arts and Psychology at Southern Cross University in Northern NSW and has been working as a free-lance artist for the past four years. Rijs currently lives and works in London and is based from her studio at the Wimbledon Art Studios.
Cassandra Rijs is a young, mostly self-taught artist - since she was old enough to pick up a crayon, art has been her passion. Some of her earlier and most recent work has been inspired by her exploration and expression of her own sexuality and is both a form of self-expression and a social statement. Rijs' work is expressive and varies from subtle to overtly honest and must be viewed and enjoyed with an open mind.
