Nick Cubbin is a freelance portrait, documentary and lifestyle photographer who is currently based in Sydney, Australia. He was born in Adelaide, South Australia and studied art, graphic design and photography, before moving to Sydney, where he was the staff photographer for the Weekend Australian Magazine from 1997 - 2006.

A former member of the influential Australian photographic collective, Oculi, he has had images in exhibitions overseas and in Australia, including The Australian Centre for Photography, MOS and The National Portrait Gallery.

He has been awarded The Walkley Award for Excellence in Journalism and The Nikon Press Photography award in Best Feature.

Nick has continued to shoot portrait and documentary work for a range of national and international publications including, Time Magazine, The Guardian Weekend Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, Travel + Leisure (Australia), Emirates Woman, The Australian Women's Weekly, Good Weekend, Sunday Life, The Bulletin, Sunday Magazine, Qantas The Australian Way, Air, QWeekend, The Weekend Australian Magazine, Alpha, Wish and Who Magazine among others.

Nick is based in Sydney, Australia.
