Mostyn Bramley-Moore's work is included in many major collections, including the Australian National Gallery, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Queensland Art Gallery. Although he produces work in a variety of media, Bramley-Moore is best known for his paintings and works on paper, which investigate landscape, identity and narration.

'Typically, my paintings flicker between abstraction and figuration. Really, they are neither one nor the other. I try to tell stories, and paintings need a large repertoire of strategies and devices to do this” Mostyn Bramley-Moore.

Bramley-Moore has lived and worked in the United States, France and Britain. He plays an important role as an arts educator. Currently Professor at QLD College of Art, Griffith University (from 2000 onwards), he was recently Dean of the School of Art, Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne (1996-99).
