Neil Frazer (b1961) is an important contemporary Australian artist who has been exhibiting since the early 1980s and had over 40 solo exhibitions. He currently exhibits with Martin Browne Contemporary, Sydney, Philip Bacon Galleries, Brisbane and Milford Galleries, Dunedin.

The works proposed for donation, Friction 2008 Floes 2009, are representative of Frazer’s seductive approach to painting and his emphasis on paint and atmosphere to capture the essence of a particular landscape and to conjure up a sense of the sublime.
