Stuart Owen FOX

Stuart Owen Fox has been a leading professional photographer for over 40 years. His transient life led him to live in the Northern Rivers for a number of years.

"It was in January 1990 and Brett Whiteley, temporarily freed from his addiction to heroin, descended on Byron Bay and rented a house at Watego's Beach to paint, sculpt, and enjoy new sensations. Arts writer Janet Hawley coaxed the Sydney Morning Heralds' Good Weekend editor Shelly Gare into providing space for a cover story and seven pages on the detoxed artist. Stuart Owen Fox was commissioned to take photographs and spent a day with Whiteley at work. 1998"
