Amanda BROMFIELD

In 2017 Amanda is studying at the National Art School in Darlinghurst Sydney, she has begun Stage 1 of the Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics program.

Amanda has a Bachelor of Arts - Diploma in Education, a Diploma in Fine Arts and a Diploma in Ceramics. She has completed Post Graduate Studies in Visual Arts in Ceramics at The School of Art at The Australian National University in Canberra.

Glaze making is a pivotal element in Amanda's work, she creates glazes that emphasise the contradictions of the clay surface. While at the ANU she was mentored by internationally renounced ceramicist Greg Daly. Amanda is a great fan of Ramesh Mario, Lynda Draper and Juz Kitson.

In 2015 Amanda moved to Camperdown, Sydney where she became involved with the Kil.n.it Experimental Ceramic Studios in Glebe. Amanda was one of the original Kil.n.it tenants. Amanda continues to exhibit her work in Sydney, in Regional Galleries and locally in the Northern Rivers.

Much of Amanda's work is about women, her latest works have focused on domestic violence and other related issues.
