Bonney BOMBACH

Bonney is a visual artist and art educator who works both two and three dimensionally. Since graduating from RMIT in 1975, she has exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally with over 30 solo exhibitions, and many group exhibitions. She has won many prizes and awards, and is represented in many public collections, including Queensland Art Gallery, Artbank, and other public collections in Australia, USA, and Vietnam. Since relocating in the Whitsundays, she has exhibited regularly in regional galleries, and has been invited as artist-in-residence in schools in Townsville, Bowen, Proserpine and Mackay. She has won state government public art commissions for sculptural works at the Airlie Beach Lagoon, Mackay Courthouse redevelopment, and Burdekin Shire Council. Her works have been published in numerous catalogues and books, including the Encyclopaedia of Australian Art, and Who's Who of Australian Visual Arts. Her works are diverse, compelling, and have a depth that invites exploration of self, society, and the natural world.
