Anne Morrison was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966. She currently lives and works in Forth, Tasmania.

Morrison’s paintings predominantly focus on landscape, the role of time and a sense of place. She creates ‘mini worlds’ that reflect upon human emotion and a sense of identity.
Morrison studied at the Glasgow School of Art as well as the Royal College of Art in London, where her contempories included Steven Campbell and Adrian Wiszniewski.
Morrison has received a Doctor of Philosophy, Fine Art from the University of Tasmania (1999), a Master of Arts from the Royal College of Art, London (1990) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from the Glasgow School of Art (1988).
As an artist Anne Morrison has participated extensively in both solo and group throughout Europe and Australia. She is represented in the Derwent Art Collection, Tasmania; Artbank, Australia; Ensign Trust, London; Devonport Regional Gallery; Royal College of Art, London; the Northfield Academy, Aberdeen; and The University of Tasmania.
